It's the middle-of-winter here in the Wind River Canyon, but you wouldn't know it from the very mild weather we've been having here in central Wyoming. The snowblower hasn't been out even once! It was a brownish Christmas, and it's still mostly dried springtime grasses. Thirty below zero is not uncommon, yet it has been years since we've seen temperatures like that. It is winter though, a time when emotions are on the low end of the scale; spring seems so far away. I'm sure you all feel the same way no matter where you live; a side effect of wintertime.
Wanting something uplifting for a "dead-of-winter" Wind River Canyon blog seems impossible, but I have done it many times before now. While researching my mind's eye, I found an idea that will lift up your spirits: something colorfully wonderful.
In some small way it's my hope that this gallery from my website will uplift your spirits in these desperate times----"Live long and prosper." Oh, by the way----Happy New Year, may it be a sight better than last year.........
