The rarest creature in all the world was shot and killed by a hunter that didn't even need a license to kill him.  Our very own Wind River Canyon diamond, Snowflake, the Albino Bighorn Sheep is dead, killed by a reservation resident in one of the most selfish acts imaginable.  This Albino Bighorn Sheep was the only one on earth, and widely known around here, and on the internet.  Many people got out of their chairs, and went for a ride with the kids, just to maybe get a glimpse of an Albino Bighorn Sheep.  I had personally spent over twenty-five hours photographing this amazingly rare animal.  More than a thousand digital frames of this beautiful albino Ram were shot by me; my pictures of him @ HogbatsPhotography.com will immortalize him forever.  Many folks that live around here thought the Albino Bighorn Sheep, Snowflake, was theirs to enjoy.  I'm very sad to say that I saw the photograph online, his white albino fur now splattered with blood, an image that will haunt me, thank you very much.  

    I've heard it said somewhere before, and it's one of my favorite quotes, "Anyone can shoot it with a gun, but to shoot it beautifully with a camera is talent."  Snowflake is gone now, and that makes me very sad indeed; more than I have felt in a long time.  But he will live on forever in my photographs if I have anything to say about it.  And for those people that will read this far into this obituary, if you come visit me at my cabin, Hogbats, in the Wind River Canyon, I will run off a free signed photograph of Snowflake the Albino Bighorn Sheep from my very own printer.  

     To spend so much time with such a rare and beautiful animal has been a privilege.  Thank you so very much for the wonderfully magical ride, I'll never forget those moments, running down the canyon with my monster camera and tripod slung over my shoulder, just trying to keep up with my bad knees hurting, yet never really minding the pain.
